MY JOURNEY

Phillip McNeill, known as The Nomadic Composer, is an Australian screen composer creating evocative music for film, television, and games. After a 35-year career in architectural and construction modelling across Australia and New Zealand, Phillip turned his technical expertise and love of creativity toward music and sound, discovering a natural affinity between technologies and an equal passion for musical storytelling.

 

Escaping city life, he now travels the Australian landscape drawing inspiration from the colours, textures, and rhythms of his surroundings. His music blends orchestral, cinematic, and world music influences to craft immersive, emotionally rich scores.

Embracing a modern, location-independent approach, he collaborates remotely with filmmakers and production music libraries worldwide, transforming experience and environment into storytelling through sound.
